Through storytelling and skill-building, every program below is free to qualifying participants — sponsored through our nonprofit programs and the generosity of donors and partners.
Core services are free for people who are currently incarcerated, released within the last six months, or bed-disabled (with documentation). Participants commit to completing the 14-week course and taking part in grant reporting — because dignity and accountability travel together.
Our core curriculum teaches storytelling across fiction, nonfiction, lyrics, screenwriting, and copywriting — using the hero's journey, character flaws, epiphany, and transformation to help each writer tell the story only they can tell. The course covers writing, self-publishing, editing, and cover design, with peer critique and manuscript submission built in.
Outcome: a completed manuscript, a certificate of completion, and a real pathway to publication.
Apply through our intake form →One-on-one consulting with returning citizens on life plans and personal goals. It starts with a free intake conversation; from there we build written action plans, map career options, and connect each person with the people and resources who can help execute the plan — by mail, tablet, or Zoom.
Outcome: a personal reentry plan you own, and partners who help you work it.
Request a free consultation →We help graduates turn finished manuscripts into working businesses: ghostwriting support, book covers, audiobook production, author websites, YouTube channels, email and social media management, and merchandise. Participants don't just get published — they end up owning an online publishing business with income streams and long-term royalties.
